Manchester United has triggered Ashley Young’s one-year contract extension.
The left-back, 32, has been rewarded for his fine form and even earned an England recall. He has really impressed this season and Jose Mourinho might keep him next season, amid talks of a complete overhaul.
“I know a lot of good players will come in next summer. That’s for sure. That’s something I look forward to because next year we have to win as many trophies as we can,” striker Romelu Lukaku said earlier this week.
United sit 2nd in the PL table, two points from 3rd place Liverpool, but with a game in hand.
