Romelu Lukaku is a man in form but his teammate Alexis Sanchez’s form had dipped, and the forward has not pleased in his last few outings.
Sanchez was benched for United’s FA Cup quarter-final win over Brighton, after scoring just once since arriving at the club in January. Lukaku, meanwhile, has seven goals in his past nine appearances and has been singled out for praise by Jose Mourinho in recent weeks.
Just work hard
“As long as he keeps working hard like he does, I think he’ll come good for us. He is a quality player with a lot of assets. Look at my situation. I started really well and then had the dry spell in November and December. But at the end of the day with hard work you are always going to get through it,” Lukaku said.
United is out of the Champions League after a 1-2 loss against Sevilla but is still in the run for the FA Cup after their 2-0 win against Brighton.
