Mark Hughes picked his first win as the new Southampton manager in an FA Cup clash against Wigan in the DW Stadium.

In the 60th minute, Dusan Tadic’s corner was directed in by Pierre Emile Hojbjerg, much to the despair of defender Dan Burn who couldn’t keep it out. Burn then brought down Manolo Gabbiadini for a penalty, but the Italian saw his effort well saved by goalkeeper, Christian Walton.
Cedric Soares added the second for the visitors in added time to make sure of a win for Mark Hughes’ Southampton.
